I grew up in Shenandoah and lived around the corner from the United Wiping Cloth Company owned by Milton “ Uncle Miltie” Sorin. Milton took a liking to this little kid growing up and treated me to company train and tractor trailer rides, ice cream and candy treats, I even remember having my own desk in the business office complete with pencils and paper, probably to keep me busy drawing instead of “bothering “ the other office workers. Uncle Miltie did a lot for the town and was the best neighbor. It was a Great town to grow up in!!
